Service and Fees

We offer competitively priced extensive editorial reviews of your writing.  We charge $30-50 US dollars per hour depending on the complexity of the required work.  

Editorial Process

After you submit your work and accept our estimate, your manuscript or proposal will undergo two rounds of editing. 

Style/Grammar Review

We will edit for spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, word usage, and clarity.  Bio-Scriptorium will also make the necessary changes to improve organization, logic, and flow.  We will use the "track changes" function to show edits allowing you to compare the original and modified versions of your work change by change.

Technical Review

Bio-Scriptorium also will check that formatting is appropriate for the target journal or funding agency and we will report any deficiencies in this area.  Finally, if applicable, we will provide commentary on scientific content.  

Payment

Upon completion, Bio-Scriptorium will upload the edited version of your manuscript or proposal along and any comments to our secure server.  An email will alert you that your manuscript or proposal is ready for retrieval from your account.  If the client prefers, Bio-Scriptorium can email the edited manuscript directly.  The edited manuscript will be delivered in PDF format with watermark.  Upon payment via PayPal, the WORD version will be delivered by email.   

Delivery Schedule

Bio-Scriptorium will return edited documents within 3-5 business days.  The editing services for grant proposals typically take longer than that for manuscripts. We will consider requests for rush orders (1-2 business days).  A 20% premium will be added to the price of rush orders.
